Support Your Community

You might not know it, but The Playful Family, Inc. has been serving your Northeast Florida community since October 2022 by training foster parents and parent educators, providing behavioral therapy services for children, and conducting coached and uncoached supervised visitation all while ensuring families are referred to the resources they need to thrive.  In this season of giving, we are asking for your donations to help us work to enhance families, promote community support, enhance play, and prevent child abuse & neglect by addressing the 6 protective factors that influence a parent’s ability to successfully care for their children through our P.R.O.M.I.S.E. (Parenting Classes, Referrals, Outreach, Mental Wellness, Independent Living Skills, Social Supports, Enrichment). Through these protective factors we help parents of all types learn to thrive in parenthood.  When you donate to The Playful Family, Inc. we apply your gift directly to our mission by providing classes for parents that help them with nurturing, attachment, managing stress, and many other factors to enhance the bond between caregiver and child.  We also use our community center as a home base environment for families of all types to engage in thoughtful play with their children which fosters community growth and important, lasting relationships while families navigate parenthood together.  These services are impactful, and help children develop within a trusting parenting model they will one day repeat.  As a community, you have helped local foster families, provided goods for those who have faced natural disasters, and helped us become the community center we envision.  We need to do more, together, and spread the spirit of giving throughout our community!
